Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She served this role from 2021-2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy communication director (2009-2011) and spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage of 2017 to 2020. Psaki started her professional career in 2001 by working on the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki then was appointed the the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's presidential campaign. Psaki worked as the communications director to Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to political communications serving as press secretary for President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. [20] Psaki resigned as spokesperson for United States Department of State, on February 11, 2013. [20] Her hiring at the Department of State fueled speculation that she would succeed White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House.
