KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August, 1965 is an American actor. Her leading role in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick was honored with a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The seventh season of the show was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, a speech and family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and with English heritage. Sedgwick identifies herself as Jewish, and she has said that she participates at Passover seders.
